The latest issue of Nanotechnology Law & Business includes articles discussing the rise of printable electronics used to cheaply fabricate new generations of electronics on a wider variety of substrates. One example of an application where printable electronics is being applied is RFID tags. Boeing is currently implementing RFID to facilitate tracking of equipment and tools and this patent teaches embedding RFID elements in a liquid coating for ease of application to a variety of surfaces.
